Laila Kazmi is a freelance writer and the founder of Jazbah.org. Born in Pakistan, she spent her childhood in both Pakistan and the Middle East. At the age of thirteen, she moved to the United States with her family. Laila worked in the Information Technology field for more than seven years after obtaining her Bachelor's of Science degree. Feeling the need to introduce the world to the positive contributions of people of Pakistani origin, she started the jazbah.org project.
Laila enjoys writing fiction and non-fiction through which she wishes to explore the three very distinct cultures that have shaped her thoughts and personality. Laila's non-fiction has been published in The Seattle Times, Dawn, Pakistan Link, openDemocracy.net, and several South Asian Internet publications.

Shabina Nishat Omar is a gold medalist in English Literature from the University of Calcutta at the levels of both M.A. and M.Phil. Her dissertation is entitled Shakespearean Comedy: A Subversive Celebration of Life. She has also written a book entitled A Study of Virgil’s Aeneid. Her special areas of interest include American literature, Gender Studies, Feminism and Cultural studies and she has returned from the USA in 2003 after being invited for an educational exchange program as a delegate visitor for the International Visitors Program organized under the auspices of the U.S. Government Department of State. She is an avid participant in seminars and conferences. She has been attached in the past as Lecturer in English with St. Xavier’s College and Lady Brabourne College, Calcutta. At present she is working as Acting Principal in Milli Al-Ameen College (affiliated to University of Calcutta) where she also heads the Department of English.
